Meet the Forum Board

Amy Georgson, President

Amy lives on a farm in Watertown, Wisconsin. This is her fifth year at MLC in the STEP Spanish program. Forum has held her heart captive since she played a horse in the 2005 musical production of Man of La Mancha. Since then she has not only acted and worked backstage but also served on multiple production staves filling various roles. She looks forward to graduating this spring and using what she has learned on and off the stage at MLC throughout her future ministry.

Kurtis Wetzel, Acting President

Kurtis, a sophomore at Martin Luther College, serves as treasurer for the Forum Board after a temporary fill-in position his freshman year. He is honored to serve the college and it's theater department in this way and enjoys performing on the MLC stage as well.

"Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men." (Ephesians 5:7)

Sarah Zietlow, Vice-President

Sarah hails from Onalaska, Wisconsin and is a senior in the elementary education track with an emphasis in music. She has been a member of Forum since her freshman year, involved behind the scenes and onstage in varoius shows: Bye Bye Birdie, Nightwatch, Cinderella, Wizard of Oz, The Crucible, The Sundance Kid, Musical Comedy Murders of the 1940s, and this year's Pirates of Penzance. Sarah was also one of two producers for "The Trial of Goldilocks" in 2008. Apart from Forum activities, Sarah is heavily involved in various music activities at Martin Luther College including College Choir and Evening Chapel Choir, as well as private voice and piano. If you asked Sarah what her favorite show is, she'd tell you: "It's hard to narrow it down... but my all-time favorite is Sound of Music."

Caleb Schmiege, Secretary

Caleb, a pastor track sophomore with an emphasis in Spanish, is proud to call Madison, Wisconsin his home. He can still remember one of his first experiences with theater, where he played one of the three little pigs in a third grade musical (not the manliest role, but he was only 9 at the time). His aspirations for music and theater continued through high school until he became involved with forum his freshman year at MLC. Since his start, he has had roles in Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, The Three Fairy Godmothers, Pirates of Penzance, Love Grows Cold, and Dial M for Murder and has helped out behind the scenes as well. He is honored to serve the school and his Lord by being a member of the Forum board.

Jackie Adams, Treasurer

Jackie Adams is a sophomore in the Elementary Education track from Lake Orion, MI. She has been involved in several Forum productions as part of casts, crews and a production staff. She is very thankful for the opportunity to serve on the Forum board.

Prof. Miles Wurster, Faculty Advisor

Prof. Miles Wurster is entering his third year as Faculty Advisor to the Forum Board. Not a complete stranger to the stage, Prof. Wurster has been involved in productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technical Dreamcoat, The Pirates of Penzance and Iolanthe. In addition he has played in pit orchestras for HMS Pinafore, The Sound of Music, Annie Get your Gun and My Fair Lady. Prof. Had the privilege of conducting the pit orchestra for Forum's 2007 production of The Wizard of Oz and will again lead the pit orchestra this fall for The Pirates of Penzance.

Prof. Wurster conducts the Martin Luther College Wind Symphony and serves as professor of music at the college. Miles and his lovely wife Kathy have two beautiful daughters, Ella and Isabelle, who are exceptionally eager to help out with Forum in any way they can (this usually involved trying on all the hats in the Green Room).

Prof. Wurster is very privileged to work with his future colleagues who have a passion for music, theater and sharing the Gospel of Christ.
